About rivets:

The size is indicated by 2 digits. The first digit refers to the diameter of the cap, the second digit to the length of the rivet post. So a 9 x 6 rivet for example has a cap diameter of 9mm and a post length of 6mm. You choose the pin length to match the thickness of the materials you are joining.

Use:

• 6mm post for layer thickness 3-4mm
• 9mm post for layer thickness 5-7mm
• 12mm post for layer thickness 8-10mm
