These striped zippers are very trendy and will give your bag that little extra punch!
Not only do they process very easily with the sewing machine (in fact, you can just sew over them, the teeth may look metal but are nylon), moreover, with this zipper tape you are super flexible: you decide the finished length, the number of sliders you install, the direction of these sliders and the look of the pullers.

Cut the zipper to the desired length and then seal the ends of the zipper tape and edge chain using a lighter. This will lock the chain and prevent unraveling. |

Do NOT cut through the edge of your zipper tape. The edge chain prevents the zipper tape from fraying, so any damage may result in fraying and torn zippers. If your project calls for reducing bulk in the seams or clipping corners, trim down the surrounding fabric, but not the zipper! This is good practice for working with zippers in general, but essential to working with the striped ones. |

Experiencing "dancing" lines? Iron/steam your zipper tape (NOT your coil) briefly on a high setting before processing. The polyester tape becomes more stable as a result of heat. |

Use as fine a sewing needle as possible when attaching the zipper to your project. Try to avoid thick (leather) needles. We recommend microtex needles for this part of your project. |
